About

In her youth, Helen Sernett was a dance and theater kid: Improv, acting classes, choir, chorus, musicals, community theater, high school theater, college theater, folk dance, ballet, ballroom — she had a ton of fun with it. Somehow she thought she had to leave all that behind to really grow up. Fast forward to 2023 and she took Drew Hobson’s class through Freehold and suddenly realized she did not actually have to ditch the fun of acting or relegate it to a weekend Dungeons & Dragons hobby. She could in fact act professionally and still keep daylight hours through Voice Over (VO). The best part, she could help businesses of all kinds realize a staggeringly wide variety of projects: so she never gets bored with her VO work!
Helen’s experience isn’t limited to Voice Over, she has an extensive background in fundraising which includes live presentations and event hosting. She knows her way around medical jargon, earth sciences, commercial gyms and a household kitchen.
Helen earned her EMBA from Quantic in 2020 and her BA in International Business in 2000. To keep her voice over skills sharp, Helen is part of several voice acting communities that meet in person and online such as Seattle Area Voice Actors Networking Together (SAVANT), and she takes classes from leading academies like QueerVox and Atlanta Voiceover Studios. Helen has attended conferences like Voice Over Atlanta (VOA) and was a 2026 scholarship winner to the eVOcation conference. She has coached with voice coaches such as Carrie Olsen, Steve Henderson, Jill Perry and others.
She loves to travel and can speak French in a pinch. She loves animals (her favorite is a giraffe) and she will always bring a smile and sense of play and joy to your project even when delivering serious content with the appropriate tone and flavor.

Working with Me
Helen has worked with experienced voice buyers and professionals hiring a voice for the first time. If you are new to using voice talent, Helen will walk you through the process and help educate you so that you understand what you’re getting and how you can use it to support your business needs.
We will meet and discuss the project, agree on terms, and collaborate to create the voice of your dreams, customized to engage your audience and feel authentic to your work.
For folks who hire voice talent frequently, Helen understands how she fits into your project or event. She will make your job easier by being responsive, on-time with deliverables, and receive feedback and adjust quickly.
No matter the professional role you are in — Helen will help the vocal audio work easily so you can meet your goals.
For voiceover projects, Helen will provide the finished or raw files to the specs you provide. For telephony, she’ll record natively or work with your system to insure everything runs smoothly.
